Our second “virtual” tasting will take place on Wednesday, 31 March at 6:30pm. The theme is “off the beaten track”, featuring wines from Hungary, Portugal, Sardinia and Greece. The tasting will be a good way to prepare for the long Easter weekend ahead. Anne McHale MW will be the presenter for the tasting.

The tasting will be held by way of a Zoom meeting and will be free to attend. We expect the tasting to run for approximately one hour. The four wines to be tasted are available for purchase from Davy’s Wine Merchants for a price of £99, which includes duty and VAT as well as the cost of delivery. Members and guests who attend the tasting do not have to purchase the wines in order to participate and could opt to taste similar wines during the tasting. The presentation itself will not be fully interactive, but the ‘chat’ and Q&A’ functions of Zoom will be available, and we encourage members to post messages on the ‘chat’ (using ‘All panellists and attendees’) and raise questions for the speaker as you enjoy the wines.
