Piedmont, one of the great wine regions of the world, immediately brings to mind two of the best-known red wines of Italy - Barolo and Barbaresco – made from the noble grape variety, Nebbiolo.  Piedmont, as we will discover, also produces outstanding red and white wines from grape varieties other than Nebbiolo, including Arneis, Barbera, Cortese, Dolcetto, Ruché and Timorrasso.

Michael Palij MW, a long-standing friend and supporter of the Society, will present an outstanding range of wines from Piedmont, many of which he has personally sourced from producers he represents in the UK.  The tasting will conclude with a pair of Barolo from the outstanding 2016 vintage that are from the Society’s reserves.  The tasting presents a unique opportunity to explore the many vinous delights that Piedmont has to offer.

The tasting provides great value for members with tickets priced at £60 for members and £65 for guests.  If you are using the Society's website to purchase tickets for the first time, you are encouraged to register in order to make future ticket purchases even easier. The Society operates a free seating policy at tastings, so if you are coming as a group please arrive early to ensure seats together.
